SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR MINORITY STUDENTS:

Students belonging to minority communities i.e. Buddhist, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Parsee & Sikh are eligible to apply for various Scholarship schemes to provide different scholarships - Merit-Cum-Means, Post Matric, Pre Matric and Talent support stipend (TSP) for poor and meritorious students. Kanyashree Prakalpa (K1 & K2)

All girl students, across all boards (HS/ISC/CBSE) who are 18 years of age are eligible for a one-time Kanyashree grant of Rs. 25,000/- during their graduation course.

Girls who are not yet 18 are usually eligible for the K1 grant.
-
Such girls who have not applied for Kanyashree Prakalpa grant during their school years also may apply for this grant, if eligible by age.

Applicant has to be a domicile of the state of West Bengal.

Passed Under Graduate course with at least 45% marks in aggregate from any Institution in this State.

About the Scheme :

To assist the meritorious students having annual family income not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000/- in the State of West Bengal for pursuing higher studies.

to give scholarships at different levels of higher studies, at educational institutions based in West Bengal.

60% marks in the last qualifying examination for Higher Secondary or under-graduate courses

53% marks in Honours subject for Post Graduate courses General Education

55% marks in Graduation for Post Graduate courses Engineering Education
