Research Activities

The departmental faculties are continuously engaged in research as well as publications in different area of Psychology. Every year postgraduate students of Applied Psychology submit dissertations supervised by the departmental teachers in their final semester, as a part of their curriculum.

Excursion

A group of 18 PG 4th and 2nd semester students (specialization in Organizational and Environmental Psychology) participated in an Industry visit to Thermal Associate Pvt. Ltd. in Sreerampore on 30.05.2023. They were accompanied by 3 faculties of the Department.
A group of 6 PG 4th semester and 29 UG 6th semester students of the Department participated in two days excursion at Shantiniketan on 06.04.2023 and 07.04.2023. They were accompanied by 2 faculties of the Department
A group of 10 Post Graduate third semester and 16 Under-Graduate third year students of the Department participated in three days five nights excursion/ Industrial visit at Govt. Quinine Factory, Mongpoo on and from 01.11.2019- 04.11.2019. They were accompanied by four faculties of the Department in the said tour.
A group of Under-Graduate Third year students of the Department participated in four days five nights excursion to Dooars on and from 23.01.2018- 27.01.2018. They were accompanied by two teachers and one non-teaching staff of the Department in the said tour.
As part of PG course curriculum Postgraduate Semester-I and Semester-III students (total 15) went for industrial visit in Chengmari Tea Garden under the supervision of two faculties of the department on and from 07.11.2017- 09.11.2017.
The Department of Psychology organized a two days Industrial Visit to the Dishergarh Power Supply Corporation at Asansol for the 10 Postgraduate students of the Department in November 2016. As a part of PG course curriculum, the tour was aimed at providing the students an overview of the operation of an organization from a Psychologist's perspective.
