  1. UGC DAE Major Research Project on Radiation and Molecular Immunology completed in 2008 by Dr. Madhumita Manna and further extended for one year by UGC. One project fellow working with the fellowship Rs.8000/ per month consolidated.
     
  2. UGC major project on Genome analysis and development of genetic markers of the clinical isolates of Indian visceral leishmaniasis (Kala-azar) and post Kala-azar Dermal Leishmaniasis with special emphasis on drug unresponsive cases of Kala-azar.

  3. One part time research fellow is doing the protection study against Leishmaniasis using mangrove plants.

  • Educational tours: As a compulsory part of the curriculum, we take our UG and PG   students to different Biosphere reserves, National park, Forests where they study the flora and fauna, nature of ecosystems, biodiversity etc. In this academic session, we took our UG and PG 2nd year students to Sundarban Biosphere Reserve to Nagjira Reserve Forest and Novegaon National Park, Maharastra.
     
  • Visit to Open House Programme of Indian Institute of Chemical Biology.
     
  • Visit to study migratory birds in Snatragachi Jheel, Howrah.
     
  • Publishing wall magazines.
     
  • NSS activities like blood donation camp, value education course etc.
