    CALL FOR PAPER for UGC Sponsored State Level Seminar on, “ Disability: A Battle With Reality”, organized by Department of Psychology, Bethune College, Kolkata in collaboration with Department of Psychology, University of Calcutta on 11th November, 2009 at 10-00 AM in the Campus of Bethune College.

Last date of submission of paper has been extended upto 7th October, 2009. Interested participants are requested to send ABSTRACT within 150 words. Rema Bose, an Ex – student of the department received the prestigious awards namely, Nalini Das Memorial Award for all round performance and the P. C. Chandra Award of Excellence for outstanding academic performance in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Doyel Ghosh, another ex student of the department, received the prestigious Nalini Das Memorial Award for all round performance in 2008.
 
 
    ONGOING RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
     
    Sm. Nilanjana Bagchi has completed a U.G.C. sponsored Minor Research Project titled :
‘Women Empowerment Programmes – A Study on the Macro and Micro Behavioural Consequences’.

Sm. Nilanjana Bagchi (Principal Investigator ) and Dr. Syamali Sen (co-investigator) are working on a Minor Research Project “An exploration to evaluate the effect of training programme on empowerment of women resaiding in some rural slum areas of West Bengal with reference to certain psychosocial variables” funded by Women’s Studies Research Centre, University of Calcutta.

Sm. Nilanjana Bagchi, in collaboration with Dr.Chilka Ghosh, Reader, Dept of History, Basanti Devi College, Kolkata, is working on a Major Research Project “A trap Called Trafficking” funded by the Women’s Studies Research Centre, University of Calcutta


Sm. Pallavi Banerjee is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the area of ‘Psychotherapy Process Research’ in the Dept. of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta.

Sm. Mahua Chatterjee has submitted her Ph.D. thesis in the area of ‘Environmental Psychology’ in the Dept. of Applied Psychology, University of Calcutta.
