Guidelines for Inter-college Essay
Competition
- Topic for the Essay Competition : ‘Women in
Revolution’.
Eligibility: All bonafide UG regular students
of Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Medical science
of all colleges /
universities / IITs are eligible.
- The medium for the Essay competition would be
either English or Bengali.
- The participants can write about any event, aspect or
personality falling under this broad spectrum.
- Word limit for the Essay Competition is between
850 and 1,000 words.
- Time limit for the Essay Competition one
and a half hour.
- The competition will start at 11.30 a.m.
- The last date for the entry of names for Essay
Competition is 23rd August 2010.

Competition
- No specified topic for Extempore Speech Competition.
- Eligibility: Same as Essay Competition.
- The medium for Speech Competition is also either English or
Bengali.
- The competition will start at 12.30 p.m.
- The last date for the entry of names for Extempore Speech
Competition is also 23rd August 2010.
